A Small Zulu Rare Plants Sign That Was a Pleasure to Make

Some signs are big statement pieces. Others are small, simple, and just feel good to work on.

This Zulu Rare Plants sign was one of the smaller pieces I made, but I really enjoyed the process. The logo had enough color and shape to make the layers interesting, and the final piece came out clean and cheerful.

I made it from Baltic Birch plywood, with raised details and hand-finished color. It is a good reminder that a custom sign does not have to be large to feel personal and memorable.

For a small shop, studio, plant business, or creative space, a little wooden logo can bring a lot of character to the room.
